In the Spotlight: Jackie Wilt
On March 16, 2020 our facility and most of our home/community based services shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many people in our community, the COVID-19 virus brought feelings of uncertainty and fear to some staff. It comes to no surprise to those who know Jackie, she brought a little bit of light during a time of darkness. The day after our shut down, Jackie began posting a statement about each and every staff member that works at Futures on her Facebook page.
Her postings highlighted positive characteristics about each staff and their strengths at work. On June 16th, she published the last staff posting. The following day Jackie stated the following on Facebook, “It has been a blessing to recognize each employee. I am in awe of the amazing place I work and collectively we have the best group of people serving our community. I cannot wait to return to work.” Many of Jackie’s co-workers followed her daily postings and made positive comments themselves. Jackie’s posts kept us connected positively. The Futures staff would like to thank Jackie for her kind words and encouragement during the shut-down. We are thankful to have you on our team!
Jackie is a full time Direct Support Professional who currently works in our Community Participation Supports and In-Home and Community programs. She has been employed with Futures since 2013. Jackie is kind hearted, dedicated and an advocate for all.
